On December 27, 2019, our hospital's urology department successfully completed a case of giant retroperitoneal cyst surgery.
A middle-aged female patient with a urinary color Doppler ultrasound scan showed a left kidney cyst (left kidney approximately 110mmX39mmX41mm in size and 55mmX45mm cystic echo in the upper pole). A plain scan and enhanced scan of the kidney and adrenal gland showed a left adrenal cyst. The retroperitoneal cysts are huge and the differential diagnosis is very difficult.
After discussion by Professor Gao Shuanjie, a well-known ultrasound expert in Henan Province, Professor Chen Xuejun, an expert in CT radiography, and several professors in the Henan Provincial Difficult Disease Consultation Center, adrenal cysts, renal cysts, lymphatic cysts, and ganglioblastoma were mentioned. Difficult to unify.
Based on the expert opinions of the professors, 2 chief physicians, 2 deputy chief physicians, 3 attending physicians and head nurses of the urology department discussed and demonstrated the surgical plan, prepared the surgical plan, and made active preoperative preparation. With long cooperation, laparoscopy was successfully completed and the retroperitoneal cyst was removed. Postoperative pathological findings confirmed adrenal lymphatic cysts, which were very rare.
At present, the patient recovers smoothly and has recovered and discharged.
